O God of Life and Love,
we grieve the violence and acts of war and brutality being experienced by your daughters and sons in Ukraine
(and animals too).
In solidarity with them, we pray for those
who are suffering and in danger,
who live in fear and anxiety,
whose hope is failing,
who are anxious for their lives and for their loved ones, and
who mourn the dead.

God of Gethsemane,
may those seeking shelter know your Presence
alongside them in the ruins.
God of resurrection,
may they know your power to restore and make all things new.
 
We pray that those with earthly power
will have the courage to stop the violence and talk and listen
and work for peace, with wisdom and compassion.
 
God of Grace, Giver of Life,
send your Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, who fills all things,
to bring hope and health and resurrection in Ukraine
and inspire our leaders to do what is right.
