Linton Scarecrow Festival 28-30 June 2019

“Something for Everyone”

See programme below and Festival poster and Dad's Army film poster.

Emboldened by the success of our first Scarecrow Festival in Linton last year, we have decided to repeat the venture. There will be a theme this year for the scarecrows – “Book Characters” which gives a very wide choice and they will make up the Scarecrow Trail around the village.

We’re really looking forward to welcoming you to this year’s Festival. Follow the Scarecrow trail and collect the names or take part in one of the many other activities. If you would like to have a stall, let us know or just come along and join in the fun!

The weekend starts on Friday 28 June.  Between 10am and 11.30am, we’ll show a film especially for children in St Mary’s, Church Lane Linton CB21 4JX and follow it with a picnic. Tickets are just £3. See contact details below. Afterwards, you can collect your trail booklet and start scarecrow-spotting!

On Saturday 29 June we’ll have stalls, a Dog Show, and music. Also, a bar and food, activities for children including Dan Penfold and his zorbs from 1pm and something to suit all tastes. Linton Jazz will be joining us to help things go with a swing.

Sunday 30 June will feature an open-air service on Camping Close and a service of celebration in St Mary’s; pop-up photo studio as well as the annual duck race and teddy jumping, plus more music and stalls and activities for all the family. There will also be a Festival Raffle. For full details please see the trail booklet available over the weekend.

The Festival, organised by St Mary’s, Linton aims to encourage the community to come together for the benefit of all.
